San Francisco was the first North American city I have ever visited. And now it might be one of my favorite cities on the planet. It is hard to describe why I like it so much. It is so pretty and the vibe is something special. There are people from all around the world and it’s a mix of so …
A road trip across the western United States in an RV is still my favorite trip of all-time. But the RV parks, campgrounds and resorts we stayed at were not all equally good. Below I listed my top 5 favorite places we stayed at with our RV during our trip. You shouldn’t take the order too serious because it doesn’t matter much in what place a spot is.
Ok, it is probably not THE hottest place on earth. You know, clickbait and all. But it does get rather warm in Death Valley, the hottest place in North America at least. Despite it being so hot, you can actually drive through there, even with a 7.5 ton RV.
We all have dreams. Things we want to do in our lifetime. Things we want to see. Places we want to go. For me, it is important to write these dreams down so I can keep them in focus. I like my Bucket List to be a long-term to do list and not a list of things I will never do.
Last week, Gabriela from Gabriela Here and There tweeted that she has been to 77 countries. 77 is quite an impressive number and it made me think about how many countries I have been to. And if I haven’t forgotten anything it is 18. This inspired me to compile this list of all the countries I have visited.
When we set out on our road trip in the United States, one of places I wanted to go to the most was Six Flags. I love roller coasters. So, it’s not a surprise that I wanted to visit the world’s biggest roller coaster park when we are in the area. And we did.
Las Vegas is one of the cities that is on almost everyone’s list when it comes to a western United States road trip. And if you have never been there it’s worth a visit even if it’s just to find out what all the fuzz is about. And while traveling with an RV is one of the best ways to see the United States, you might think that it is less ideal in Las Vegas.
On our 4-week road trip across the western United States, Lake Tahoe was our first destination after departing from San Francisco.
We stayed at the Meeks Bay Resort with our RV. It is located directly at the lake at Emerald Bay. When we arrived it was already the down season so we managed to get a space for our RV with full hookup for only $30 a night. It was one of my favorite campgrounds we stayed at during the four weeks.
While the Grand Canyon might be bigger than the Bryce Canyon in every way, Bryce Canyon is something you should not miss. I would even go so far and say that if you could only visit one, visit Bryce Canyon.
Las Vegas was our longest stay during our south-western USA road trip. We stayed there for four nights on the Circus Circus RV park that I already mentioned in the previous post. When we were in Vegas I was 19, almost 20 years old but still too young for a lot of activities in Las Vegas. And we had 2 4-year olds with us so this post will be dedicated to kid-friendly activities since I didn’t see much of the 21+ stuff in Vegas :(. So, here we go. Things you can do in Las Vegas with kids
